Garden Management
If you love your garden and want to come home to a beautifully kept outdoor space, this service is designed for you. It is particularly suited to larger private gardens, historic houses with landscaped grounds, country estates, gardens open to the public, and outdoor spaces used for events and functions.
Experience You Can Rely On
Susan brings over 2 decades of combined experience from working at Tofte Manor, Bedfordshire; the Women's Refuge, Bedfordshire; Cranford Hall, Northamptonshire; Manor Farm and Chawston Manor, Bedfordshire.
Susan advises the owners on horticultural management and guides staff responsible for maintenance of acres of parkland, orchards and pleasure grounds. She has restored areas of mature planting, designed and planted new areas, and continues to maintain the gardens to a high standard for public and private functions.
A Thoughtful, Year-Round Approach
Every garden is cared for with commitment, consistency and close attention to detail. Susan brings deep horticultural knowledge and practical experience to support the long-term health, structure and appearance of your grounds throughout the year.
Following an initial consultation, this typically involves preparing a detailed annual maintenance programme covering seasonal pruning and pest and disease control. Work is carefully scheduled around site-specific requirements, including activities such as soil improvement prior to planting. The service also includes regular onsite visits, implementation of health and safety procedures, on-the-job training for staff where required, and supervision of key maintenance activities.

‘‘Susan has been the professional gardener at Cranford Hall since February 2007… principally been the maintenance of the borders, the planning and design of several new features and generally advising the owners on all aspects of management. Susan has proved herself well up to these tasks. She uses her training intelligently and is able to successfully marry theory with practice. She is diligent, energetic and conscientious. During her time at Cranford, the gardens have improved considerably, in large part due to her efforts. I would have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone who is looking for a qualified and enthusiastic gardener, with considerable interest in garden design and improvement."
