A recent front and back garden transformation in Flitton has earned national recognition for Susan Young Garden Design, with two Silver Awards presented at the 2025 Association of Professional Landscapers (APL) Awards.

The Greenfield, Flitton project brought together thoughtful design, practical hard landscaping and wildlife-friendly planting to create a cohesive and functional outdoor space. The layout introduced clearly defined garden areas while successfully incorporating two existing water features into the overall scheme. As the planting continues to establish, the original design vision is now fully coming to life, with increased colour, movement and wildlife enhancing the garden throughout the seasons.

Close involvement during both the design and build stages ensured a smooth delivery and a high-quality finish, resulting in a space the clients can enjoy for many years to come.

Susan Young received Silver in the Designer category (projects under £75,000), where the garden was recognised for its considered design approach, strong functionality and high-quality execution. The scheme demonstrated how carefully planned landscape design can deliver meaningful transformation while working within a defined budget.

A second Silver Award was presented in the APL Collaboration category, celebrating excellence in partnership working between designer, contractor and client. This reflected the strong communication, coordination and shared vision that underpinned the Greenfield, Flitton project from initial concept through to completion.

Receiving Silver in two categories in the same year marks a significant professional achievement within a highly competitive industry and further reinforces Susan Young’s reputation for delivering thoughtful, well-executed landscape schemes.
