Family garden design with raised chalk soil planting, wildlife-friendly plants, lawn for an elderly dog and low-maintenance layout by Susan Young Garden Design.

This family garden had to include a bike shed and real grass for the elderly dog. A few specific half-hardy plant choices were requested with some to attract garden birds. It is basically an add on to the existing patio to provide an interesting path with low maintenance planting but at an elevated height and on chalk soil. The clients requested a plant maintenance schedule and had a couple of further queries in the first year of establishment.
