Make An Entrance Planting
Design

An ex show-home site on an exposed corner plot with the front garden having been a car park laid on heavy clay was a planting challenge. The original beech hedge and fine lawn grass struggling on the clay had to be replaced. The coastal feel to the garden was echoed in the choice of hard landscaping. Susan planted low growing hardy plants and climbers to cope with the frost and cold winds. The planting brings interest from late winter with bulbs and through spring and summer, with herbaceous perennials until late autumn.
